The familiar anxiety of fitting into a new social dynamic. I usually have three phases: 1. Anxious and nervous if I would fit in at all 2. I find something that gives me confidence and put effort into finding my ingroup 3. I lose the anxiety as I prove myself and then actually lose the interest to put in the effort. I think it's a me-problem but the struggle to be part of any clique is all too real.
Oh the inner Saboteur! How awful she is! I know these experiences all too well!! But you held your ground, like a mature adult 😁and soldiered on and survived. Well done you!
One thing is clear, our family is great at many things but doesn’t raise functional “adulting” beings. And let me tell you, I think this became an advantage at some point.
it's funny how the first days are so overwhelming, I didn't even take out my phone from my bag for the first week I was that busy absorbing all new elements
Pencil cases are underrated! I always carry pens and pencils in my purse; now the only logical step is to go buy a pencil case. Duh!
Didn't we all use to hide notes, secret messages, mobile phones, snacks, etc. in our pencil cases when we were at school? pencil cases are great

that's a very sensible approach and also very accurate. I think I eventually reached the 'not giving a fork about fitting in' XD
